Upstate Shakespeare Festival -- Every Weekend
Do you love Shakespeare in the park? Head to Falls Park on the Reedy every Thursday through Sunday in June for performances of the Bard’s great pieces provided by the Warehouse Theater. You’ll be able to enjoy beautiful scenery and excellent literature all at once, so don’t miss it. And the best part- it’s free!
Beachin’ Fridays -- Every Friday
The Mauldin Cultural Center is bringing the beach music scene back to Mauldin with Beachin’ Fridays! People come from all over the Upstate converge on the Mauldin Outdoor Amphitheater for evenings of shag dancing, beer and wine from Growler Haus, and delicious local food trucks. The bands will be playing all of your favorite beach hits and more, and the series always features a fantastic fireworks display on finale night. All shows are free, so bring your dancing shoes, lawn chairs, and blankets – it’s gonna be a long, fun, Southern night!
Hamilton at the Peace Center -- June 8 - June 19
One of my absolute favorite musicals is coming back to the Peace Center this month, and I cannot stress enough just how good this show is. This hip-hop/rap musical follows the life of on of America’s founding fathers and the first treasurer of state, Alexander Hamilton. You will laugh, cry, and get educated by this show. There is a reason why it won 11 Tony Awards. Get yourself a ticket now and prepare for it to ‘blow us all away’!
Moonlight Movies - Every Friday
Don’t miss Moonlight Movies in Greer City Park this month! Every friday they will be hosting a free movie night with some awesome flicks for the whole family! In June they will be screening Frozen II, Space Jam, and The Secret Life of Pets. You won’t want to miss it, so grab your picnic blanket and some popcorn and get ready for some wholesome family fun!
