One of the most commonly asked questions surrounding Greenville is what major cities you can drive to from here. The great thing about Greenville is that it is centrally located between several popular cities to visit, so you’re never far from a fun adventure. Here is a list of four major cities that are within easy driving distance of Greenville:

Atlanta is a mere two hour drive from Greenville (pending Atlanta traffic obviously), which makes it an easy weekend getaway. Atlanta is one of the major concert cities in the US, which means all of your favorite artists are bound to play here. Atlanta also has amazing shopping and awesome sights like the Georgia Aquarium. We’re very lucky to be so close to such a fun travel destination!

If you are seriously into hiking or the arts, Asheville is a great weekend getaway for you. Located an hour away from Greenville and nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, this city is the perfect place for a mental reset. I love to rent an Air BnB on the outskirts of the downtown with a few friends and spend a few days hiking and enjoying sights like the Biltmore Estate and the Asheville Museum of Art.

Charleston is about four hours away from Greenville, which is a little bit farther than the rest of the cities on this list, but totally worth the drive in my opinion. Charleston has so much to offer. If you’re a history buff, you will have no shortage of incredible historical sights to visit. From Fort Sumter to the Old City Jail to a church that once held services for George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, there is so much to see. If you’re just looking to enjoy time on a beach, that is also available to you as well. I highly recommend taking advantage of being so close to this wonderful city.

In only two hours you can find yourself in Charlotte, NC. From going to a Panthers game or attending one of the many concerts that have tour stops here, you’ll never find yourself short on fun things to do here. Charlotte is known to have a beautiful downtown including sights like Freedom park, the NASCAR hall of fame, and the 7th Street Public Market. If you’re more of a daredevil you’ll definitely want to spend some time at Carowinds, a theme park known for its extreme attractions and record breaking roller coasters. Carowinds is home to the world’s largest and fastest giga coaster!
